If you’re suspecting you have scabies, here are some early scabies symptoms you can watch for:
1. Red rash. Rash in pale red color is one of the first indicators you might have scabies. It is not 100% accurate, so don’t treat any rash as scabies infection.

Scabies rash mainly shows on your hands, feet and in you private areas. These are the places scabies most likely infect first. See the photo on the right.

2. Intense itching. If you found the rash that looks similar to the photo you see on the right and it’s itching really bad then you can suspect you have been infected with scabies.

Itching caused by scabies get worse at night and it’s almost gone right after the shower.

3. S-shaped like skin tunnels. Small tunnel-like marks just under top layers of your skin are also prime signs you might have scabies. In scabies infection this tunnels are accompanied by small reddish nodules that might look like pimples.

This pimples are mostly isolated and are in groups up to 10-12 in a small patch of space (1-2 cm in distance from one another). Looking like small pimples, if you try and squeeze them, almost transparent white liquid should run out.

Early scabies infection is hard to find because it is very similar to other skin problems like dermatitis, syphilis and various allergic reactions.

Prime signs of scabies infection are reddish rash and intense itching, especially at night.

In newly infected person, scabies symptoms might not show for 2-6 weeks after initial infection. If you had scabies before, it should not take more then 10 days first scabies symptoms should show.

In any way, if you suspect you might have scabies symptoms, you should really visit your doctor immediately. Scabies are not life threatening disease so don’t stress out too much. However, scabies are very contagious and can spread very quickly.
